Chapter 7: Learning How To Set Boundaries
Empaths find it difficult to set boundaries because they donât like to upset, hurt, or offend anyone. In a sense, they are people pleasers, they feel guilty when they say âno,â and often burn themselves out trying to help others. Empaths donât like to experience negative feelings. They feel other peopleâs feelings, so when they are not able to help or meet someone elseâs needs, they feel the same pain as that person, which is what empaths find difficult to deal with.
